ECON 3052: Economics for the Elementary Classroom

(Also available for graduate credit under 5052 - call instructor for details)

This course is designed to provide teachers with practical approaches to teaching economics in the classroom. Economics concepts, principles, and teaching strategies will be presented. A variety of curricular materials is used to emphasize an integrated approach to teaching economic content in elementary and middle school classrooms.

This course is offered in a variety of ways to accomodate your busy schedules. Generally, this course is offered on Tuesday and Thursday morning for a full semester, on Fridays with a shortened semester, as an evening course during the fall semester, and as a summer course. Practicing teachers may take the evening or summer course for graduate credit.

This course is held on the UM-St. Louis campus in the J.C. Penney Conference Center.
